I do not want this to be the classic "give your money to us" page that you see with many websites for ministries. I want to share with you the direction that the Lord is leading us and as God leads us in different directions as time is allowed to continue, I will always use this page to share with you the direction of this ministry. Naturally, financial support is going to be needed but reality will not allow everyone to participate in that aspect of giving. Those of you who can then we will greatly appreciate it as well as God will bless your giving. We will always use the money to fulfill the goals that you will read on this page. Those that personally know us can tell you that we have learned a few things as God has taken us down the path he's chosen for us. One of the greatest lessons is that we have learned to totally rely on Him. We've worked where we received little and where we have received much. We've worked where ministries could pay us nothing and any support that we did receive came from people, like you, that were not affiliated with that ministry but we united, in purpose, with what we do. In short... we know how to make a dollar scream and we do not need much in order to personally survive. Those that cannot give financially, we need your constant coverage of prayer. We covet those prayers greatly. In that way all of the blessings that come to this ministry will also come to you.
God is leading us to begin a work in Mobile, Alabama where Jennifer and James reside. Kathy and I will be in the Atlanta area for at least another year (give or take a month or two) because of commitments here as well as the fact that in Atlanta Kathy can earn a good sum of money in her professional field and every extra dime that she does make will go into where God is leading us. After the holidays, we will begin looking for a building in the Mobile, Al. area, where we can have an office for the ministry as well as establish a place for prayer, preaching, and teaching. Our ultimate goal will be to establish a house of prayer that will always be open, 24/7, for that purpose. I have been visiting IHOP Atlanta and while I would not model their program totally, the concept is certainly a godly concept and something that I have always wanted to see from the church. A place that never closed and where people could always come to pray and be ministered to at any time of any day. The specific direction as to how we would run this once established and open is not even an issue right now because nothing happens there until we're prepared. This is simply a time of preparation.
Jennifer will be the one primarily running that aspect of the ministry. Even when the time comes for Kathy and I to either move to that area or get closer to that area, this will be a part of Project Peter Ministries that is in her capable hands. Those that have heard and seen her both worship and pray will understand this. Those who haven't, give it time. You will. I will be there to help at any and all times and will help in getting everything established, running, and will always be there to oversee this part of the ministry as well as teach and preach as much as possible. Also keep in mind that the Ministry Board will always oversee any work associated with this ministry and keep things accountable as well as in the open for easy viewing at any time. We will be filing incorporation papers in the state of Alabama once we determine the exact location so that everything there is lined up with the Alabama State Tax Laws. Ultimately, Jennifer will work out of that office as well as operate the prayer room until such time as we have more people locally that can assist her, We will simply start out with scheduled times to open for prayer and then we will expand the time as we are able. Our prayer will be that within 12-18 months, we will be able to keep the doors open all of the time.
For now, we have set up a PayPal account for the ministry. Those that have been on line for any amount of time will likely be familiar with this company but if you are not then I can assure you that they are a very safe way to give on-line. We have used PayPal for more than ten years now and have never run into a problem and we've received thousands of dollars through this banking system. They do charge us a fee that is reasonable so the total amount that you give will have that fee subtracted when we receive it on our end where we too will pay a fee. If you are out of the country and giving then you will just have to check the rates and decide if it is worth doing. Some simply choose to send a bank draft to us in US Funds via the mail system. We have the PayPal account set up in the ministry name for tax reasons that cover both you as well as us as it keeps funds coming into the ministry separate from our own personal bank account. If you want to send us anything personally then please contact us and we will give you the information you would need to do this. All funds going into this account will be used for ministry business alone.
Money can be sent to us via the mail and if you choose that as the way you want to support the ministry then you can send an email to the ministry treasurer and or secretary which is Kathy or Michelle and they will send you the information that you need. You can also contact me via telephone at 678-263-6350 and I can answer any questions that you might have. Since, for now, the only physical address that I can give you will be our house address we choose to give that information privately for the obvious security reasons. I was going to set up a post office box but decided that this would not be good stewardship with funds. Since the Ministry office will officially be in the Mobile area then we will simply wait until that time and you will have the physical location published on this site and then you can send any offerings directly to that office.
As we continue, I will add a link to this page which will show a listing of what we will need as we begin this endeavor. I will explain each expense and if you have anything you want to give to specifically then simply let us know and we will put it towards that specific need. We will be starting from scratch folks so we will need much. We will not be purchasing the top of the line anything and what we can find used but in good condition, we will always opt for that first. In time, we can replace that as needed. Our main goal is to get this functional as soon as reasonably and rightly possible. The purpose of sharing this with you now is that it gives you a target to aim at with your prayers and again... we will certainly need financial support from those that are able.
Be blessed and Keep On Praising Jesus!
